Sally Rigby was born in Northampton, UK. Since 2001, she lives in New Zealand with her family. She also writes psychological thrillers with her friend, Amanda Ashby (the first two were written under the joint pseudonym 'Amanda Rigby'). She is the creator of:
1. 'Cornwall Murder Mystery' series featuring Lauren Pengelly, a Detective Inspector in Cornwall.
2. 'Sebastian Clifford', an ex-police officer turned private investigator in the Midlands.
3. 'Whitney Walker and Georgina Cavendish', a Detective Chief Inspector and a forensic psychologist in fictional Lenchester.
