Brian Callison was born in Manchester. He was an author and served as a midshipman with the Blue Funnel Line on cargo liners. He studied at Dundee College of Art. In 2008, he completed a three-year appointment as a Fellow of The Royal Literary Fund at the University of Dundee, mentoring staff and students in all aspects of practical writing. He was a member of the Royal Institute of Navigation and an Associate of the Nautical Institute. |
