Winston Mawdsley Graham was born in Manchester. In the late 1920s he moved with his parents to Perraporth, a small village on the coast of Cornwall. After he finished his education, he began writing. By the time he was twenty-three, he was able to make a reasonable living. He also wrote historical novels, like the famous 'Poldark' saga. |
