Pippa Ruth McCathie was brought up in Mauritius. She was a teacher, writer and poet. She lived in Guernsey, Channel Islands with her husband. She is the creator of the 'Havard and Lambert Mystery' series featuring ex-Superintendent Fabia Havard and her partner, Detective Chief Inspector Matt Lambert in Newport, Wales.
