Tess Collins was raised in Middlesboro, Kentucky. She has a B.A. from the University of Kentucky and a Ph.D. in Theatre Management, Producing and Writing from The Union Institute. She lives in San Francisco, where she is manager of The Curran Theatre. She is the creator of 'Alma Bashears', a Commonwealth attorney in a rural Kentucky community. Visit also her official site.
