Pseudonym of John Shirley. He was born in Houston, Texas. He also writes science fiction, fantasy, and horror novels under his own name and the pseudonym 'D.B. Drumm'. He is the creator of:
1. 'Jack Sullivan', also known as "The Specialist", a freelance agent and assassin.
2. 'Vince Bellator', a former Special Services Operative.
