Cecil Dawkins was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in English in 1949 and earned an M.A. in English Literature from Stanford University in 1953. She is the creator of 'Ginevra Prettifield', an art museum assistant director in Santa Fe, New Mexico. |
