Christine DeSmet is a novelist, screenwriter and playwright. She teaches writing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is the creator of:
1. 'Fudge Shop Mystery' series featuring Ava Oosterling, the owner of a fudge shop in Door County, Wisconsin.
2. 'Mischief in Moonstone' series featuring the inhabitants of a small village nestled on Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin.
