Christopher Hyde was born in Ottawa, Canada. He was an author and producer with Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for ten years. His brother Anthony Hyde is also a writer. He is the creator of:
1. 'Finn Ryan', an archeologist (under the pseudonym 'Paul Christopher').
2. 'Lt. Col. John Holliday', a former Army Ranger (under the pseudonym 'Paul Christopher').
