Roderic Graeme Jeffries was born in London. He is the son of Graham Montague Jeffries. He lived in Mallorca for over forty years. He also wrote under the pseudonyms 'Peter Alding', 'Jeffrey Ashford', 'Roderic Graeme', and 'Graham Hastings'. He is the creator of 'Enrique Alvarez', a police inspector on the island of Mallorca.
