Gail Lukasik was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She currently lives in Libertyville, Illinois with her husband. She is an author, former choreographer and former teacher at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She is the creator of 'Leigh Girard', a writer for a local newspaper in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin.
