Peter May was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He is the creator of:
1. 'Enzo Macleod', a former forensic scientist.
2. 'Lewis' series featuring Fin Macleod, a detective on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland's Outer Hebrides.
3. 'Li Yan and Margaret Campbell', a Chinese detective and an American pathologist.
