 Albert Cornelis Baantjer was born in Urk, Netherlands. His family moved to Amsterdam while he was still young. After World War II, he became a policeman until his retirement in 1983. He is the creator of 'Jurrian DeKok' (in Dutch it is 'Jurriaan de Cock'), a police detective in Amsterdam, Netherlands. |
