Douglas Child Borton, Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Ohio. He was a screenwriter before becoming a full-time writer. He is the creator of:
1. 'Bonnie Parker', a small-town private eye and part-time assassin (under the pseudonym 'Michael Prescott').
2. 'Tess McCallum and Abby Sinclair', an FBI agent and a security operative (under the pseudonym 'Michael Prescott').
