Joe Connelly grew up in Warwick, New York. He worked as a paramedic at St. Clare's Hospital in Hell's Kitchen, New York City before publishing his first novel. It was an immediate bestseller and was made into a movie. He currently lives in the Adirondacks with his wife and family.
