Susan Handley was born and grew up in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. She currently lives in Kent with her husband. She is the creator of:
1. 'Cat McKenzie', a Detective Constable in the South East of England.
2. 'Matt Fisher', a Detective Inspector who has been blinded in an acid attack.
