Jeremy Lane was born as Herman Dale Schuchert in Mishawaka, Indiana. He later legally changed his name to Jeremy Lane. He was an author and short story writer. His stories appeared in pulp magazines. He is the creator of 'Whitney Wheat', a psychiatrist and amateur sleuth.
