Donald McCaig was born in Butte, Montana. He was an author, poet, essayist, and sheepdog trainer. He served in the United States Marine Corps for two years. He received a BA in philosophy from Montana State University in 1963. He also wrote novels about sheepdogs and literary fiction. |
