 Elizabeth (Lillie) Thomasina Meade was born in Killowen, Co. Cork, Ireland. In the 1870s she moved to London where she married a solicitor, Alfred Toulin Smith. She wrote together with Clifford Halifax (pseudonym of Dr. Edgar Beaumont), with Robert Eustace (full name Robert Eustace Barton), and with Robert Kennaway Douglas. She also wrote mainstream fiction and fiction for young adults. |
