Gregg Olsen was born in Seatlle, Washington. He currently lives in Olalla, Washington with his wife. He also writes true crime books and nonfiction. He is the creator of:

2. 'Emily Kenyon', a cop and single mother.
3. 'Megan Carpenter', a detective with the Sheriff's office in Jefferson County's Port Townsend.
4. 'Nicole Foster', a former homicide detective.
5. 'Port Gamble Chronicles' series featuring Hayley and Taylor Ryan, twins who receive signs from beyond the grave.
