Joel Rosenberg was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He was a Canadian American author best known for his long-running "Guardians of the Flame" fantasy series. He lived with his family in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is the creator of 'Ernest "Sparky" Hemingway', a copy editor in Hardwoods, North Dakota.
