Gillian Royes was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia and on the island of St. Croix, where she lectures at the University of the Virgin Islands. She is the creator of 'Shadrack "Shad" Myers', a bartender and detective in Largo Bay, Jamaica. Visit also this site.
