Toby Ball was born in Washington, D.C. He currently lives in Durham, New Hampshire with his family. He worked at the Crimes Against Children Research Center and the Family Laboratory at the University of New Hampshire. He is the creator of 'The City' series featuring an unnamed American city from the 1930s to the 1970s in a dystopian society.
