Anita Blackmon
1892-1943
 

Anita Blackmon Smith was born in Augusta, Arkansas. She was an author, teacher and short story writer. In 1920, she married Harry Pugh Smith. Her many short stories were mostly written as by Mrs. Harry Pugh Smith. She is the creator of 'Adelaide Adams', a nosy spinster in Arkansas.
