Richard Grindal
1920-2005
Pseudonym: Richard Grayson
 

Richard Frederic William Grindal was born in New Delhi, India to British parents. He was educated at King's College, Cambridge. He travelled the world representing the Scotch Whisky industry and wrote a number of books about whisky. He died in London. He is the creator of:
1. 'Jean-Paul Gautier', a police inspector in Paris, France (under the pseudonym 'Richard Grayson').
2. 'John Bryant', a private detective (under the pseudonym 'Richard Grayson').
