Tanya Sue Huff was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and raised in Kingston, Ontario. She currently lives in Ontario with her wife, fellow fantasy writer Fiona Patton. She is the creator of 'Vicki Nelson', a private investigator in Toronto, Canada. The CBC Television series Blood Ties was based on her Vicki Nelson novels.
