Andrea Elena Ibáñez was born in New York. She currently lives in Tucson, Arizona. She is an author, physical anthropologist, and retired public administrator. She is the creator of:
1. 'Berkshire Cozy Mystery' series featuring Aggie Burnside, a nurse and amateur sleuth in 1930s West Adams, Massachusetts (under the pseudonym 'Andrea Kress').
2. 'Deadly Mystery' series featuring Steve Thibault, a police sergeant in 1990s North Carolina (first published as by 'Andrea Elena Ibáñez' under different titles).
3. 'Massachusetts Cozy Mystery' series featuring Amanda Burnside, an amateur sleuth in 1930s Boston, Massachusetts (under the pseudonym 'Andrea Kress').
