Harry Kurnitz was born in New York. He was a reporter and a prolific screenwriter. In 1946, Kurnitz was forced into exile for the next ten years because of his membership of the Communist party. In 1957, he moved to Brooklyn where he started writing plays for Broadway. He also wrote under the pseudonym 'Marco Page'. |
