Daniel Pennachioni was born in Casablanca, Morocco. He worked as a woodcutter, cab driver, illustrator, and high school teacher in Nice, France. He also writes children's books. He is the creator of 'Benjamin Malaussène', a professional scapegoat in Paris, France.
