James Atlee Phillips was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He studied at Texas University, Texas Christian University, and the University of Missouri. During World War II he was operations manager for China National Airlines in Rangoon, Burma and later he ran the Burmese National Airlines. He is the creator of 'Joe Gall', a free-lance soldier of fortune and contract killer for the CIA (under the pseudonym 'Philip Atlee'). |
