Deany Ray was born and raised in Romania. She moved to Germany when she was 21 years old and now lives in Cologne. She is the creator of:
1. 'Charlie Cooper', a precinct secretary at the Boston Police Department.
2. 'Hailey Webb', an assistant/errand runner for a local newspaper in Palm Shores, California.
3. 'Ouna Bay Cozy Mystery' series featuring Becky Chambers, the owner of a pastry store-coffee shop and amateur sleuth in Ouna Bay.
4. 'Piper Harris', a former member of a motorcycle gang and amateur sleuth in Florida.
