Peter Steiner was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He currently lives in Connecticut. He is an author, cartoonist, and painter. After the University of Miami and the Free University of Berlin, and then after serving in the U.S. Army in Germany, he got a PHD. in German literature. He taught at Dickinson College for eight years, but left teaching to become an artist and cartoonist. He is the creator of:
1. 'Louis Morgon', an ex-CIA operative in France.
2. 'Willi Geismeier', a former Munich detective in 1930s Germany.
