James Stinson was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was an author, columnist, editor, and videographer. He lived in Portland, Oregon with his wife. He is the creator of 'Spencer Churchill "Stoney" Wilson', a filmmaker, screenwriter, and film workshop teacher in Los Angeles, California.
