Jack Weeks was an author, journalist, senior editor for Newsweek Magazine, and copy editor on The Miami News. He also worked in journalism in Indiana and Washington and for the Army in the Aleutians, the Middle East and France. As a lieutenant colonel in the service, he was executive editor of Yank, the Army magazine.
