David Williams was born in Bridgend, Wales. He was educated at the Cathedral School, Hereford and St.
John’s College, Oxford where he took a degree in modern history. Williams was the head of a large London advertising
agency that he had founded. He also was a frequent television and radio broadcaster. In 1977 he suffered a stroke and
he was advised to leave his job. After his recovery he became a full-time writer. He is the creator of:
