 Allan Geoffrey Yates was born in London. From 1942 to 1946, he served in the Royal Navy. In 1948, he went to Australia and became an Australian citizen. In 1953, he became a full-time writer. He also wrote under the pseudonyms 'Carter Brown', 'Sinclair McKellar', 'Dennis Sinclair', and 'Paul Valdez'. The pseudonym 'Caroline Farr' which is attributed to Yates was actually used by Richard Wilkes-Hunter. |
