Michelle Birkby was born in London where she still lives. Her novels feature 'Mrs. Hudson and Mary Watson', the housekeeper/landlady of Sherlock Holmes and the wife of Dr. Watson as amateur sleuths (the characters were originally created by Arthur Conan Doyle).
