John Banville

John Banville was born in Wexford, Ireland. He is a novelist and journalist. His brother, Vincent Banville, also wrote crime novels. He is the creator of:
1. 'Freddie Montgomery', a scientist and murderer.
2. 'Quirke', a pathologist in 1950s Dublin (under the pseudonym 'Benjamin Black').
3. 'Strafford & Quirke Mystery' series featuring Detective Inspector Strafford and pathologist Dr. Quirke in 1950s Dublin.
