Pseudonym of Elizabeth Cruwys, a Cambridge academic and former police officer. She also writes together with her husband, Beau Riffenburgh (1955-), under the pseudonym 'Simon Beaufort'.
She is the creator of:
1. 'Alec Lonsdale', a young reporter on the Pall Mall Gazette in 19th century London (under the pseudonym 'Simon Beaufort' with Beau Riffenburgh).
2. 'Matthew Bartholomew', a Medieval physician.
3. 'Sir Geoffrey Mappestone', a Medieval knight (under the pseudonym 'Simon Beaufort' with Beau Riffenburgh).
4. 'Thomas Chaloner', a spy in Medieval England.
