Don Pendleton
1927-1995
Pseudonym: Stephan Gregory
 

Donald Eugene Pendleton was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. In the Second World War he served in the US Navy as a Radioman. After his naval service, he became a telegrapher for the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1957, he left the railroad and became an air traffic control specialist till 1961. He then turned toward aerospace engineering. In 1967, Pendleton became a full-time writer. He is the creator of:
1. 'Mack Bolan', aka The Executioner, an expert sniper and crime fighter.
2. 'Joe Copp', a private investigator in Los Angeles, California.
3. 'Ashton Ford', a former naval intelligence officer turned psychic detective.
The name 'Don Pendleton' was used as a house name for a great many titles published by Gold Eagle featuring 'Mack Bolan', the Executioner. See also Chet Cunningham, Steven M. Krauzer, Mark Sadler (Dennis Lynds), and Gayle Stone (Gayle Lynds).
